Take a peek into a slice of life from Robeson County, North Carolina. A poverty stricken community in the southeast region of the state known for agriculture and ties to the Lumbee Nation. The youth of the county can be seen on display here speaking about childhood trauma, hopes for the United States and their personal aspirations. An expert on childhood development also shared her views and provided important metrics to contextualize our other interviewees moment’s on camera. These interviews took place just days before the general election in the beginning of this month.
