Dr. Chanelle Diaz was one of the medical expert reviewers for American Civil Liberties Union, Physicians for Human Rights, and American Oversight’s study titled Deadly Failures, which examined preventable deaths in ICE Detention Facilities between 2017 and 2021. She shares some of the harrowing patterns she’s observed in her research, revealing a concerning disregard for the health and safety of detained immigrants under Donald J.
